A Funny DB Story

Just as a side-note, DB refers to Deseret Book, where I work. Frequently there are some really funny things that happen when my co-workers and I are helping our fantastic customers, and a lot of those stories will end up on here. Here is the latest one.


The other day there was a man who came into our store who had been roaming aroud for about an hour and a half and who was being slightly annoyning...he came up to the register desk and asked us where he could find a book about how to change your spouse. One of the other girls who was working that night took him to the "Marriage" section and was showing him some of the more popular titles in the section when he spotted this one:

Now, to you and me this says, "Stangling Your Husband Is NOT an Option", but to this customer it said something different. He exclaimed, in a not so quiet voice, "STRADDLING your husband is not an option?!?!?! What kind of book is this?!?!...Oh...it says 'Stragling your husband is not an option'...sorry about that..." We all got a really good laugh out of that one...
